Open House

Sisters!

On Sunday 8/22/2010 I got to speak in Sacrament meeting in our Ward.  The Shallowford Ward has been my family since we moved here from Utah about 15 years ago, and I had a wonderful time.  Bishop Walton asked me to speak about Baptism which I have been thinking about quite a bit lately.  I invited many of my friends to attend and they came through for me and it was so good to see so many of my friends come to Church at 9:00 AM on a Sunday morning.  They have always had my back and I will miss them and always have a special place in my heart for all of them.  My sisters Alexandra and Heather joined Katie Mildenhall to sing "I am a Child of God" and "I feel my Savior's Love".  The Spirit was so strong and I could see that others were touched too.  I couldn't take any pictures inside the chapel but I have enclosed many pictures of my family, friends and Ward family who attended my Open House held at the Neilson's home from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  They are my second family, and I love them so much.  Especially my four little brothers, Brandon, Nathan, Austin and little Preston.  Future Missionaries in a few years for sure!  I will miss everyone, but will try to make them proud by working hard in Oregon.  A special thanks to so many friends and family who did so much to make this day one I will remember and cherish forever.

Bountiful Temple!

Tuesday, August 17, 2010 I went to the House of the Lord!  The temple in Atlanta has been closed for remodeling for over a year now so I chose the Bountiful Temple.  The temple is so beautiful, the grounds are amazing and the view is spectacular.  Everyone at the temple was so nice, and made me feel so special.  The Brother at the recommend desk asked me where I would be serving and when I told him Oregon, Portland he said that he served there over 50 years ago before it was even called the Oregon, Portland Mission.  The temple was amazing!  I definitely need to get back before going to the MTC and look forward to doing so the 30th and 31st while in SLC before reporting the 1st of September.

Suiting Up at Mr. MAC

Sunday August 15, 2010.  My Mom, Dad and I just hopped on a plane to SLC to go out and take care of getting my suits and clothes for my mission.  Of course Mr. Mac, is a must, the place has been suiting up missionaries for 40 years now and they had just what I needed to finish off my list of things I need for the mission.  We stopped by on Monday August 16th to suit up.

Suits, suits, suits and more.
